If somebody is going to Greece then must certainly tour the Zakynthos island. Personally I have already been there twice and certainly I will go again. It is not only island, but also the capital city of that island as well as the port. It is located at the foot of the Bochali hill. There is quite modern city, however built on ruins contrary to appearances old which was destroyed during an earthquake in the fifties of the 20th century.
This city has a lot of tourist attractions, as even if: Agios Dionysios monastery with souvenirs after local saints, Agios Markos and Dionysios Solomos squares, the retail park, the Kon Lombardou small street which is called Strata Marina by inhabitants and a lot others. A seaside promenade which enrapture with its colours and with the peculiar atmosphere, which won’t be nowhere else in world, deserve the special attention.
Walking about Zakynthos one should pay attention to unusually picturesque small streets, by which old homesteads are located, but also courtyards embellished with flowers. From nearby taverns a music is resounding practically for entire twenty-four hours. With day t is heard mainly for tourists, and with night first of all for local inhabitants. It is hard directly to resist the local charm. It is easy also to fall in love. At the same time Zakynthos is one of the safest places in Greece and amongst remaining islands. One doesn’t hear here of attacks to tourists, thefts and so on. At the same time walking local small streets, on the beach or the postage it isn’t impossible to escape from the impression that here it is necessary at one time to settle. Not only here an industry, a tourism are developing, but also people are here far more amicably set, than on the continent, it is possible to feel safer and kind of at home.
